26/7-2010 On Saturday me and Tone (owner of Ch U M See See Rider) went to the Spaniel Speciality in Råde. I never seems to learn, - had 5 dogs entered.. Thanks a million to all who helped me during the day! Not thinking of the results, it was a really nice day, with sun and happy faces all over! Perhapse it was the strawberries and the champagne :)
Hugo (U M Splendid Hugo) was just flying around the ring with his owner Vibeke, ended best of breed og BIS 2 puppy. Oscar (Ch U M Supermario) placed second in open class with CK. Nice job Vibeke!
Jussi (Barecho Zuper Bowl) had his offical debut in Norway. He is allways happy, also in the showring, and to my surprise he won the juniorclass with CK. Good boy, my little baby! Jussi still has a lot of growing to do, but he will be back soon. Tassen (Ch U M See See Rider) placed fourth in champion males with CK, perfectly shown by Hege. Pontus (Ch U M Sinbad) really had his day, went best champion, best dog, best of breed and in the end even Best In Show! Wow, guess if I was happy! Our "grandchild" Cool-Dog`s Calvados took his second CAC, well done Lisbeth! Daizy (Ch U M Shine On) was out with Richard, and I had the pleasure to see her move in the ring, and it was just as written in the critique; "moves like a dream". She ended best bitch second, just beaten by her kennelmate Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) who became best bitch. Our breederclass, 4 champions from 3 different combinations became Best In Show.
  No resting at ours, next weekend we are going to an SKK Int show in Sweden.
19/7-2010 Late with updates AGAIN!! Well here are some news :)
For years I have been talking about visiting my very good friends at knl High Score in the north of Sweden. They has been to ours several times, and invited me over and over again. There is of course no way I could travel and leave home like this, without also going to a dogshow or two! There is not allowed to travel with more than 1 dog pr flight in Norway..., so I had to leave from Arlanda, Stockholm. Back home I could go directly to Oslo Gardermoen. Believe it or not! Well, Geir took me to Arlanda, and my 5 days vakation had started. I brought Sandra & Tassen with me, and they was both entered SKK Int Show in Gällivare and SSRK`s show in Kiruna. We (AnnSofie, Susanne and me) and a couple of dogs left for Gällivare in a borrowed homecar on Friday.
 Tassen (U M See See Rider) was perfectly shown by AnnSofie both days. Saturday he became Best of Breed, with CAC & CACIB. Not placed in the group. Sunday he ended best dog 3. He got the CAC, and since he had the NKK-Cac from before, he got the title SE U(u)Ch N Uch! I was showing Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) myself, and she was amazingly cooperative the hole weekend. Second best bitch with resCacib on Saturday, and on Sunday she became best bitch with CAC, and FINALLY she got her swedish show champion title. What a absolutely fantastic weekend I had!
  My hole stay at knl High Score was fantastic, I had a wonderful time with you girls! Hope to get back, perhapse next summer. Our 4.5 year old Sandra even learned to swim, - perhapse tasted better than her new titel.
First weekend in July, Lisbeth and I left for Trondheim with 7 dogs in the car. This time, as the first for many years, we did not have the caravan behind. We was going to stay at a hotel, wow! The hotel was nice, the food was bad, but we survived.
I had 3 dogs entered at the NKK Int show on Saturday. Quite satisfying to have them all placed in best male/bitch. Tassen (U M See See Rider) became best dog 3, Pontus (Ch U M Sinbad) on the place behind. Daizy (Ch U M Shine On) became best bitch 3. Judge was breed specialist Stig A. Kjellevold, knl Westaway.
When we where in Trondheim, Ellen Cleve and Freja (U M Spanish Eyes, littersister to Tassen) did their debut on bloodtrack. They made up a very nice second prize, very well done Ellen!
On Sunday Daizy got a day off, and Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) and her daughter Svea (U M Sail On Silvergirl) took her place. Sandra has after getting BIS puppy at her very first show in Trondheim, became best bitch 4 times at this annual show-weekend. She could not get worse this time! She became best bitch, Best of Breed and even BIS 4. Her kennelmate Pontus became best dog. Oscar (Ch U M Supermario) took a nice best dog 3, and Tassen ended it by being best dog 4. In between we had a "grandchild"; Cool-Dog`s Calvados, who took his first CAC & best dog 2. He is out of Pontus & Daizy`s littersister Ch U M Smart Start. Even his sister, Cool-Dogs Cha-Cha, took a best bitch 4. Nice done Lisbeth! I also had a breeders group on Sunday, who became BIS (to be honest, there was no one else, don`t tell) Judge this day was Jostein Halvorsen, knl Bomway.
 We where staying home from WW-10 and the Speciality in DK, and of course felt that everyone else was there. Luckily Vibeke and Hugo (U M Splendid Hugo) was there, and made us proud by winning BOB & BIS 3 puppy at the speciality.
21/6-2010 So PROUD of Oscar (Ch U M Supermario) and his owner Vibeke, getting an first prize, with a prize of honour, at yesterdays bloodtrack in Telemark. There was 18 dogs starting, and Oscar became best dog of the test!!
 14/6-2010 Hopefully the worst weather is done for this showsummer! It was heavy rain and windy in Avesta on Saturday. Tassen (UM See See Rider) placed as number 3 in open dogs. Sandra (Ch UM Sandra Bullock) second in open and res. best bitch, really showing this day! 25 dogs and 44 bitches was entered.
8/6-2010 I have been to two shows from last update. Pontus (Ch U M Sinbad), Tassen (U M See See Rider) and Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) was entered the Norwegian Spaniel Club`s main show. Both boys got CK, not placed in best dog. Sandra won champion bitches and ended best bitch second.
Last weekend I went for NKK Int Drammen with Tassen and Daizy (Ch U M Shine On)
Tassen got his NKK-CAC, and Daizy won champion bitches, ended second best bitch with CACIB.
Next weekend I am going to SKK Int Avesta, SV-10. Looking forward to meet good friends, and hopefully see some nice dogs. Tassen and Sandra are entered.
11/5-2010 Last weekend Sanne and I went for Kristiansand with 4 dogs and the caravan. Sanne was a bit anxious going almost first time in the showring, but it went on perfectly fine, and she was a good helper for me. I was pretty upset getting the last CAC on Daizy (U M Shine On). Finally we succeeded, and she got her titles; N Uch SE U(u)Ch. She was third best bitch on Saturday. Pontus (Ch U M Sinbad) became second best dog both days, Tassen (U M See See Rider) was best dog 4 on Saturday and Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) became best bitch with Cacib on Sunday.

Now we have some weekends off, going to the Spaniel Club`s main show in the end of the month with some dogs.
26/4-2010 I do enjoy going to Sweden :) Last Saturday I was at the SKK Show in Västerås. 63 ESS entered for judge Carina Östman (knl Caci`s) Tassen (U M See See Rider) placed as best dog 4 and Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) became best bitch 3.
Now we finally will go to a Norwegian show, NKK and NSK in Kristiansand in a couple of weeks. We have 5 dogs entered each day.
5/4-2010 On Saturday, in the middle of the night, I left for SKK Int Show in Stockholm. Really bad weather, and a closed road beacause of a car accident, - of course I was wondering what in the h... I was doing :) But when I finally reached "Mässan" early in the morning, everything was forgotten, and it felt like the sun was shining until I was back home. Jussi (Barecho Zuper Bowl) entered the ring with Emelie, and I think he behaved very well. He most surtenly loves to show, and placed as #4 in juniors. Then I had Tassen (U M See See Rider) in open dogs, which he won. Tassen is owned by Stephan Slartmann, and lives quite close to us. He will be shown by us this year, thanks to his cooperative owners. He still lacks some experience in the showring, but he learns quickly. It did not stop with the open class, - he even got best male, cac, Cacib and Best of Breed! In a strong group 8, ha placed as #4.
 In picture BOS; Trollängens Chin-Chin, judge Meriel Hathaway and Tassen. I was also bringing Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock). She showed how much she really can hate shows, happy and pleased outside the ring, and then she turn it on.. She placed as number 2 in open class bitches.
22/3-2010 I have been to SKK Int Show in Malmö. Our junior Jussi (Barecho Zuper Bowl) became # 3 in juniorclass, perfectly shown by Emelie. Pontus (Ch U M Sinbad)placed as best dog 3, and his sister Daizy (U M Shine On) got the CAC, resCacib and best bitch 2. Very satisfied and very tired!
7/3-2010 Our co-owned little swedish boy, High Score Back In Business 4.5 months, had his showdebut yesterday, - and what a start! BOB & BIS 1.
 28/2-2010 Last weekend we went for NKK Int Show in Bø. We had Sandra, Daizy and Tassen (U M See See Rider) entered. Sandra had a large swelling on the left shoulder Friday before, probabely crocked with a three or one of the other dogs. The vet emptied it, but it came back, and I had to leave her home. By the way, she`s fine now. Tassen won open dogs with CK, not placed in best dog. He need some more experience in the big world, and to loose some weight, but we are really proud of this wonderful boy. With Daizy, it feels like she`s never going to get her last certificate, this time second best bitch with Cacib (I know, she will get it!)
This week we finally got the result of the dna-test on Ursa Major`s Smart Brunette, and she was Gpra Cord1 Clear. We have leased her from her owners, living just some kilometers away, and she is going to be mother of our spring/summer-litter this year. She is a fully sister to U M Scarlett. She is going to meet Ni-Na-Chi`s Valentino as soon as the season is on, probabely within a month or so. See more about this at planned litters, when mating is done.
No shows for us in Norway before May, but lucky as we are, living almost on the border to Sweden, we are planning going to Malmö, Stockholm and Västerås in between.
12/2-2010 Out of an old stored bloodtest for fucosidosis, AHT has tested Elsa (Ch Trollängens Next Trip) for Gpra Cord1, and she was clear.
8/2-2010 Compared with last year`s initial we sure have a 100% improvement! Lisbeth and I went for Skien and NSK`s special, with 8 dogs, really early Saturday morning. Anne-Berith Waskaas (knl Rintilla) was judging ESS first time in Norway. Pontus (Ch U M Sinbad) made us so proud by winning best champion dog, best dog and later on even Best of Breed. In the final he became BIS 2, only beaten by Knl Skjervtuns beautiful cockergirl. Chira (Ch U M Smart Start) won champion bitches and ended second best bitch. Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) became second in champion bitces and best bitch 4. Daizy (U M Shine On), Oscar (Ch U M Supermario) and Solan (Ch U M Supernatural) all got CK. Our breederclass got an prize of honour, but we did not enter the final. Little Jussi (Barecho Zuper Bowl) was on his second show ever. Poor puppy had been sitting nicely waiting waiting and waiting for mum all day. When I came running and finally should enter his class in another ring, he was of course so amazingly happy that he could nearly keep one foot at the floor. He became second best male puppy. We really love our Jussi for everything he`s worth, he`s a good one! A Pontus-daughter from our summer-litter, Ursa Major`s Stay Sweet, became BOS puppy. See also results.
Lisbeth and I had once again a unforgettable trip to Bergen late September. This IS going to be the last, - I think.. Pontus (Ch U M Sinbad) got best male and BOS both days. Solan (Ch U M Supernatural) became best dog 3 and Piff (U M Sweet Lips) best bitch 3 at the speciality. Our breederclass was BIS at the special. Børge Espeland judged. In October we went to NKK Int Hamar. I had entered a lot of dogs, but the flue knocked me out, and I bet everything on one card. Not a bad choise when Sandra (Ch U M Sandra Bullock) became best bitch with CACIB and BOS. Judge was spanielspecialist Line M. Haugen.
In between those shows we got two litters. Suzy (U M Suzy Q) had 3 puppies in a repeat breeding with Trollängens Second To None and Scarlett (Ch U M Scarlett) had a litter of 9. She was bred to Ch Goldmoore Call Me Spectacular.
Our new puppy Jussi (Barecho Zuper Bowl) had his debut at a national show in Kongsberg. He became best male puppy and BOS, and showed that he CAN behave. At the same show Solan became best male and BOB. Sandra and Daizy (U M Shine On) was best bitch 2 and 3.
Then we was ready for 2009 final show in Norway, NKK Int Lillestrøm (NV-09) Breedspecialist Helene Bjørkman (knl Barecho) was judging, and once again I bet everything on one card.. I almost can`t remember being so happy for a win. Sandra became best champion bitch, best bitch and BOS, with CACIB and the titel NV-09. It also made her mostwinning ESS bitch in Norway 2009, and runner up to ESS of the year. We are very proud that winner of young dog bitches, as well as open class bitches also came from our breeding. The girls was U M Sweet Lips and U M Spellbound.
In December I went to SKK Int show in Stockholm with my new Norwegian Winner, Sandra. Unfortunately Sandra was attacked while we was standing in line-up in open class. It ended like this..
In the new year 2010 my thoughts has only been one place. A huge eye-check. You can find more about this following this link, but sorry, it`s only in Norwegian. Anyway, my intention was, if possible find bloodsamples to the research of a usual kind of PRA, known as classic PRA, in Scandinavia. With great help from my dear friends Lisbeth and Heidi, and of course my great puppybyers we brought 18 dogs to eyecheck the 26. of January. 16 dogs where clear, one from before known had RD, and there was one minor cataract. Not bad I think. The dogs was from 10 diff. combinations between 16 months and 7 years. Even if you don`t understand Norwegian you can see the dogs examined by following the link mentioned. I will repeat this in a 6 - 8 months with new dogs. Now we are going to think about other things for a while, and are going to this years first show in Telemark first weekend in February. Bringing a lot of dogs - as usual :)
